Using the Classroom
How Will the Room be Utilized?
Formal Application Process
Faculty may submit proposals to the Manager of Multimedia & Classroom Technologies to utilize the room and explore instructional approaches aimed at enhancing student engagement and learning success. Instructors are encouraged to utilize the unique technologies / physical appointments within the classroom (supported by Computing and Communications) and are expected to develop assessment mechanisms and thoroughly document results.
To schedule the facility please contact Israel Fletes.
Ad Hoc Use
Faculty may reserve the Hyperstruction Studio for one or more meetings per quarter for short-term / informal instructional use, workshops, and seminars that utilize the unique physical and technological appointments within the room. Experience gained from these sessions will be incorporated into future publications concerning the facility. For questions about pedagogical techniques please contact Leo Schouest
General Purpose CAI (computer assisted instruction) Lab
The Studio may be used as a general purpose computer assisted instructional lab. Currently, campus public computer labs are impacted, and the facility will help meet campus demand for computer assisted instructional space (e.g. for research methods classes utilizing statistical / computational software). Experience gained from these sessions will be incorporated into future publications concerning the facility.
For questions about the technology, please contact Larry McGrath
